Weight Doesn’t Matter for Weight Loss

Listen dieters, save yourself some heartache and skip the scale. In fact, it’s advisable to weigh yourself just one time each week. Choose a weekday and weigh yourself in the morning. Don’t eat or drink anything before getting on the scale. This practice will supply you with a far more accurate impression of your general weight loss success long term.

You want to go by how your clothes fit than how much or little your body weighs. A snug pair of blue jeans can provide a superb depiction of your weight loss crusade.

This is why weighing yourself during a fat reduction effort is not good sense:

Daily weight variations. Without exception, every person’s body weight goes up and down during every day by three to five pounds. You will examine this if you weigh yourself in the morning on an empty stomach and then again at the end of the evening after a big dinner. It will be clear that you are several pounds heavier at the end of the day, even if you’re smaller around your waist.

Mussles weighs more than fat. If you are on a muscle-building program, then you will be supplanting fat cells with muscle mass. Your BMI (your body’s ratio of fat to muscle) could be going down, while your overall weight continues to remain the same or even goes up.

Weight gain from stress hormones. If you check for your weight each morning, it will eventually cause extra tension on you. If you find that heavier than you thought you would be, you may feel a stress response. Stress hormones cause us to hold on to fat cells.

Wedding Guide, Fashion Dallas Wedding

Posted by admin in Beauty Resources, Lifestyle Stuff

Where’s the fun in planning a wedding and not making it mean something? Let me to brag a bit about the Weaver family’s fanciful wedding planning reputation. Chances are if you live in Chicagoland you’re already familiar; we boast a deep tradition of planning memorable wedding experiences.

We eat, breathe and fantasize about weddings. Our friends include wedding fashion designers, photographers and hair stylists. My younger brother is a very charming wedding host and pianist–and oh boy it’s impressive! This month I’ve carefully evaluated a who’s who collection of vendors listed here under, Dallas luxury weddings. Obviously, I grew up around wedding planning. As a remarkable high class wedding planner who takes her job seriously, I am finally planning my own wedding with a bit of insight from sister. But that’s not all, I am madly in love. One say I’ve been lifted off my heels by the most wonderful guy!

My mom, Chicago wedding photographer friend and I, are terrific coworkers and besties forever. She is wholeheartedly jealous fiance Oggie Bear. A few days ago, we looked through the vintage photographs of mother’s notoriously tacky Dallas wedding. It was hilarious, but fashions change. Can you find the a moral about timelessness in that.

You wouldn’t believe how great this is. My father is so generous to be flying everyone in, and the ceremony will be at perhaps the hottest hotels! I really shouldn’t share the when and where cause who needs party crashers. It’s a good time to be getting married, celebrating love with family and friends. We know that’s what a luxury wedding is definitely about. Cheers to the vitality of life.

Well wishes,

Amanda

Some Common Myths Concerning Botulinum Toxin

Posted by admin in Beauty Resources, Medical Portal, Misc

Botulinum therapy (abbreviated to BoTox) has become established amongst up-to-date Sydney society and now it has become a grooming necessity for many in Sydney.

Nevertheless I am frequently dumbfounded when I listen to the insane tales in connection with this procedure.

I have included below some of the more popular stories that we come across day in day out in Star Cosmetic Medicine, where I practise as a physician.

Myth no. 1: I may lose the ability to express emotion!

Research shows there are sixty or so muscles beneath the skin of your face. The extensive use of these muscles may result in fine lines or wrinkles. Too many doses of Botulinum Toxin have the effect of the facial musculature appearing less expressive. The dose used by most doctors are calculated to make you appear ‘refreshed’, however you will continue to be just as expressive.

So a carefully measured injection of BoTox in the right place means an expressive face is protected whilst the wrinkles undergo a softening effect.

Myth no. 2: BoTox is a toxic substance!
This to some extent is true. Its medical term is Botulinum Toxin Type A. Too great a quantity may end up in a decrease in muscle tone and may cause sickness.

However to help us understand the bigger picture: an ancient chemist’s expression states that ‘everything is a poison - it all depends on the dose’. Every medicine might make a person very unwell in big enough doses. If you drink too great a quantity of water it will kill you.

Myth no. 3: BoTox hurts!
The hypodermic needles we use at Star Cosmetic Medicine have a diameter smaller than your hair. A lot of individuals state that the injections are not worse than bug bites. Certainly not in the same ball park as compared to having a blood profile.

Myth no. 4: I might lose feeling in my face!
Completely untrue. BoTox affects the junction between the nerve and the facial muscle, not the nerves of sensation. BoTox only targets the ability to relax muscles.

Myth no. 5. Once you start BoTox you have to keep getting it or else you will get even worse wrinkles than earlier!
Once More this is just false.

BoTox is believed to be effective for up to three months. Later treatments tend to last a little longer. The wrinkles will gradually reform as the muscle returns to normal. But they will certainly not be any deeper than previously.

As A Matter Of Fact the lines will more often than not be softer than if you had never had BoTox injections - even if you never continue the treatment. In the main due to the fact that your skin has had a ‘wrinkle holiday’ whilst the treatment was effective.

The needles we use at Star Cosmetic Medicine have a diameter smaller than your hair. Quite a few patients say that the shots aren’t worse than getting bit by mosquitoes. It for certain is not as sore as a procedure like a blood test.

My acquaintances never believe it, since my wig is an subtle icon of my identity they don’t think twice about it, but it is a fact I don wigs to enhance my appearance. Here’s the story, ten years ago during my college graduation, I was diagnosed with an ailment that fundamentally screamed wigs. It induced a lot of worry. Even so, I ignored it, and the unfortunate circumstances of my appearance were not anywhere on my hierarchy of problems. It’s a reality, I had young kids growing up in addition to demanding design studio to run. Eventually my roommate Princess revealed to me that given the wellness and professional issues at stake, wigs made a lot of practical sense.

I went into crisis mode and made an appointment with my general practitioner on the matter of covering my women’s hair loss. I was going for a solution other than wigs, quite frankly. When he advised that well-made human hair wigs would be my best bet, I stayed suspicious! But oh boy, I’ve grown into something of a wig evangelist, delivering knowledge to women in need. That’s just the humble opinion of a well-versed wig expert. The key women might take home, is that eventually, even your husband won’t notice you’re wearing a wig.

Professional Hair Products Are the Resolution You’re Looking for

Posted by admin in Beauty Resources, Shopping Portal

The argument between using simple and professional hair products has been an infinite one. Previously, this disputation was resolved easily with a noted quote, You get what you pay for. But nowadays, the line betwixt Professional Hair Products and non-professional products has gone cloudy due to the emergence of low-cost professional products and pricy amateur products.

Previously, a bottleful of shampoo in a beauty salon would merely cost you $10 while you will simply give a few dollars for the amateur ones. But of late, buying a bottleful of shampoo from a local shopping store will cost as much or even steeper than a bottleful bought from a beauty parlour. This recent advancement happened because most professional hair products did not have price step-ups for a number of years while on the other hand, common shampoos and conditioners sold in the market have been altered, both in packaging and pricing, to compete with their in-beauty salon competition.

The main gauge that would sort the two classes will now be the standard of quality that each category performs. Just think about it this way: All products made to be applied in salons by professionals can only be retailed in beauty parlours. That signifies that the products must be of the highest quality. If they werent, beauticians simply wouldnt use them. Never will you see a professional product that causes build up or leaves the hair feeling dry and crumbly. Professional shampoos will also not deprive hair of colouration or primary moisture. If you could obtain these products or products of corresponding quality in any shopping store, why wouldnt your beautician apply them?

While not all simple products are terrible, you do carry the danger of choosing a product that could cause troubles like build up, dryness, breakage, color fading, lifelessness, frizziness and a legion of other troubles. Be thorough when selecting non-professional products and as an added care, it is best if you monitor your hair regularly for whatever unfavourable effects.

Also, keep in mind how much you are spending. While it makes complete sense to pick out a ordinary product at large savings over a professional one, it doesnt have a good deal of sense to expend as much on a amateur product as you would for an assured, professional product.

At the end of the day, what you purchase is a conclusion that is entirely up to you. It is better to select a product that attends to both designs of making savings and at the same time bear commanding quality consequences.
